Much To Cool MOHAWK!

So here it is.  Tyler's new summer hair cut.  As he put it..."totally cool Mohawk!"

And a few "wolverine poses" to go with it.

I have to say ....he is one cute little boy!

It's a.....Playdate!

Tyler and two of his cousin's (Hunter and Bella) came over for a 'Playdate'.
We had a sleep over with a movie, popcorn and kool-aid.
Cinnamon rolls, bacon, eggs and yummy chocolate milk for breakfast. (For any of you who didn't already know, this was the worst part of the party for Matt. He can't stand chocolate milk and swears he has never drank it.) He did however do a fabulous job at stirring the chocolate into the milk and the children were grateful!

Hayden and cousin Bella playing in Hayden's room. Bella was quick to tell me that "taking care of babies is hard work!!!" "You really have to pay attention."
(Aunt Aimee can thank me for the life lesson later) Just Jokin'.

Bella and Tyler in the new Hammock chair Matt got for me to relax in. The kiddos were more interested in seeing how many times they could spin one another before completely losing their minds or breakfast.

And finally the boys (Hunter and Tyler) in the new play set as they put it "Kickin Alien Butt!"
All in all it was a Great time. The kids stayed up way to late and got up WAY to early! But, glad we could have the cousins over. I love the summer, the kids get way more freedom and so does Mommy.

A Wet Water Good Time!

The weather finally warmed up a couple of weeks ago and the kids were really excited to have 'A Wet Water Good Time!'
We got out several containers, measuring spoons and cups and toys to experiment with.

Adding food coloring to the water really made something as simple as water play into the most exciting thing they had ever done.  Amazing how the little things provide the most entertainment.
I really couldn't have been happier.  This provided almost TWO straight hours of FUN!

We will definitely be having lots of water play this summer.

Mother's Day

Wanted to share the wonderful gifts that Matt and the kids gave me on 'Mother's Day'.
A beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Tyler made me card, a hand painted picture framed and he wrote a story for me.

The card that Tyler made almost brought me to tears!
It says, "Happy mothers day,  I cannot describe how much I love you!"
"Can you eat lunch with me? Can you eat snack with me?"
The last part is in reference to me going up to his school to join him at lunch time.
He is such a sweet boy!
Picture and frame designed by Tyler
Matt, also got me a sweet card from Hayden and one from himself.  And the grand finale was getting a large electric griddle. I know doesn't sound like the best mother's day gift.  But, it was exactly what I asked for. We make breakfast several time a week, pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, also sandwiches etc.  A griddle just makes cooking those meals easier and more enjoyable.
Thank you to my wonderful family, Love Mommy

"Wordless Wednesday"

(Heather, hope you don't mind I stole your title, just couldn't think of a better one for this pic.)

T's Blackeye Update (just for you Nana)

So, just an update on the blackeye.  As you can see it is definately getting deeper in color and unfortunately not getting any smaller (yet).
Tyler still thinks it's pretty cool and was happy to show it off at school this morning.

"OUCH!!!"

So today on the playground at school, Tyler's eye met a little girl's forehead. OUCH!
His first official black eye.  My poor baby boy.  He is however taking it in stride and was rather impressed that the other girls in the class were as he put it "freakin' out".
            OUCH!

Camera "Noise"

Just a few REALLY cute pics of little miss Hayden.  Sorry if they seem to have a lot of "noise" in them (camera term I picked up on from Mckmama's blog).  I have been trying a new way to take pics.  Without a flash.  Also a suggestion from Mckmama, she has several old posts on taking great pics, and believe me her photos are awesome! Take a look if you get a chance (www.mycharmingkids.net) Anyhow, back to the no flash deal. If you don't use a flash, you have to change the settings on your camera so that the picture won't be fussy, but in turn you get a more grainy look.  As soon as I get a chance I am going to purchace Photoshop to enhance the pics, brighten them and take out the "noise" etc. I was able to enhance the color a bit on our computer but can't wait to get a better result with photoshop.

Stay tuned for better pics to come from bradybee.
But, I do have to say my subject is so darn cute!!!! (grainy and all)
