A trip to the ZOO

So one of the things that Matt wanted to do for Father's Day was to take a family trip to the ZOO.
We had a nice day, the kids did pretty well considering the heat.  And now a glimpse of our Trip To The Zoo.

I absolutely love this pic of the two of them. They both looks so cute and Miss Hayden looks so grown up!

Hangin' with the monkeys!
Tyler in the "King's Chair" as he called it.

Enjoying a much needed cool down at the zoo's splash pad!

And of course a much NEEDED ice cream and juice break!

All in all we had a great Father's day trip to the zoo!

Crawford Family Reunion

Last weekend we traveled to Panhandle, TX for Matt's family reunion on his father's side.
Here is Tyler and Ethan.  The two of them have become the best of buddies since meeting a few years ago.  Tyler and Ethan join up without skipping a beat whenever we go to
Texas for a visit.

Best Buds!

Matt, Aubrey (Matt's youngest cousin) and Hayden

Matt and 'Big Granny'
(Matt's great grandmother)
Hayden, Aubrey and G.G. (grandma Gale)
The trampoline was definitely the main attraction for the kids.
Miss Hayden spent the majority of her time here.
(She wasn't to sure about all the folks at the reunion)

Stay tuned more posts to come........

(Buried) Cadillac Ranch

So here we have a (very strange) but, famous road side attraction.
A long time ago, a man with way to much money decided to bury 6 brand new  Cadillacs.
Over the years many  travelers have stopped to take a look and as you can see they began leaving their personal mark on the cars.  Everytime we travel to Amarillo,Tx, I always want to stop.  Luckily this time Little Miss Hayden was  in much need  of a car break so we decided to stop and walk out to take a look.
If you look closely you can see where Tyler left his mark.
His initials T.B. in red spray paint on the tire.

A Trip To Texas

Sorry it's taken me forever to get an update on the family blog. We have been busy going and doing.   I have finally found some time to catch everyone up.  Lots of blog updates coming your way!

Trip to TX
Just a glimpse of our road trip.  Matt of course driving most of the way there and back.  (He gets all nervous when I drive so, it's usually better if I don't and he says he doesn't mind driving.)
Tyler and Hayden strapped in and enjoying the new travel DVD we purchased.  They both did pretty good for a 4-4 1/2 hour drive. I think we only stopped once!  Not bad!
And last but not least Myself and Matt trying to capture the moments on the road.  As you can probably guess Matt was less than thrilled that I was trying to take pictures while he was driving. Probably NOT a good idea. (sorry Honey)

'Success, Part 1'

So, you're probably wondering why the heck there is a picture of our bathroom posted...? Well, to make an offical announcement....we are introducing the "potty" to little Miss Hayden.  She began showing interest about a month ago and usually has a dry diaper when she wakes up from her naps.  So, without further ado we felt like we should start "toilet training".  Matt and I have both agreed that if she doesn't respond well that we would simply back off.
As you can see from the pictures above we have been letting Hayden run around bottomless in an attempt to "catch" her when she is "pee-peeing" and direct her to the bathroom.  Needless to say she is enjoying her new found freedom!

And I am pleased to announce
SUCCESS!!!!
After many "dry" attempts on the potty,
Little Miss Hayden officially had her first "pee-pee"
on the potty.
And the sucker was just an added bonus.
(Please don't judge, I don't normally allow my children to have snacks on the potty, kinda gross!)
